You have descriped him to a tee. He does like awake thinking about spelling. He is only 4 1/2. Asking me what a word is as he spells out RECYCLING from a sign he read, but isn't looking at. Maybe doesn't seem like much but I was amazed, looking around for the sign and saw it the next day at his daycare. What a memory. Helps explain the emotional flairups. This sounds like it was written just for me.
